Right to Information

Citizens have the right to access and obtain copies of any information, facts, records, or documents held by a local self-government institution—excluding documents of a purely informative nature regarding administrative, developmental, or regulatory functions. This right is conferred upon citizens under Chapter 25A (Sections 271A, 271B, and 271C) of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act (1999) and its associated rules.
